About

Barbara Herrmann is a widely exhibited artist and printmaker and her works have been frequently selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. She uses the nude (male and female) as inspiration for her drawings, etchings, screen prints and mono prints. She works directly on the surface from the model, relating the figure to a visual landscape, which grows organically from the marks created.

Barbara originally trained at CCNY in New York before furthering her fine art skills at the Accademia in Florence, Italy. She has taught fine art and printmaking throughout her career in multiple institutions including the Camden Institute, Southwark College and Channing School. She was a founder member of the Camden Printmakers.
